Divorce in the Making

Remember that bathroom remodel I was talking about earlier? Well, we have all of the supplies, gutted the bathrooms, and then waited for the tile guy to show up.

Well, we waited and waited.

The jerk had the nerve to flake out on us two days in a row and didn't show. Good thing we didn't give him any money! Why is it that contractors feel that if a job isn't big enough, it relieves them of the testicular fortitude to tell you they don't want to do it? Instead, they'll "commit" and flake out without a phone call. This is after you've taken off time from work. The sad part is, this isn't the first time I've had to go through this with a contractor.

GRRRRrrrrrr!

So that means we are DOING IT OURSELVES! Both bathrooms. Should I hire an attorney now? I see many marital spats on the near horizon.

FC, how far are you from Orlando??? :-)

You can always leave a complaint with the BBB (better business bureau) so that when people are looking for contractors they will see a negative rating for el jerko ...

oy! yah gotta get references and lots of them and then you have to find his children and ply them with good food and make friends with his wife. THEN maybe then he might come and do the job.

well thats what i did to get my room done. :)

About 2 hours, but I'd be divorced pretty quick if I went to work on someone else's remodel while our living room is still partially shredded and no one can walk down the hall due to living room stuff piled there.

You can do this.

Get the Home Depot 1-2-3 how to do it books for bathrooms and tile.
Tres user friendly.

Good luck!
